High Plains Journal would like to encourage all employees to wear western attire during Dodge City Days.

Starting Friday, July 26 through August 4, 2013, it’s time to “hitch up the team” and head for Dodge City.

Friday, July 26:   Boot Hill Bull Fry & Bash, Carnival in the Park, Central Station Street Dance

Saturday, July 27:   Dodge City Days 5k & 1mile run, Lewis Toyota Golf Tournament, Western Parade, Annual Barbecue in the Park & Q97 Country Concert, Central Station Street Dance

Sunday, July 28:  Party in the Park

Monday, July 29:  Western Art Show, Gospel Christian Concert, Teen Dance @ DCCC

Tuesday, July 30:  Rodeo Begins, Salute Our Troops w/ Hamburger Feed

Wednesday, July 31:  Fidelity State Bank Chuckwagon Breakfast, Youthville “Special Rodeo”, Rodeo Hamburger Feed, Marshal’s Kiddie Corral

Thursday, Aug. 1:  Dog Day Afternoon & Wacky Trike Race, PRCA Clown Autographs, Miss Rodeo Kansas & Teen Pageant, Santa Fe Depot Cabaret,  Central Station Street Dance

Friday, Aug. 2: Dodge City Roundup “Cowboy Classic” Golf Tourn, Miss Rodeo Kansas & Teen Speech Competition/Ice Cream Social, Taste of the Wild West @ Magouirk Conference Center, Cargill BBQ @ Rodeo, Dance for teens at The Alley, Central Station Street Dance

Saturday, Aug. 3:  Saddle Up Bike Ride, Arts, Crafts & Things Show @ the Mall, Shrine Club Kiddie Parade, DC Days Classic Car Show, High Noon Gun Fight at Museum, Central Station Street Dance

Sunday, Aug. 4:  Arts, Crafts & Things Show at the Mall, McDonald’s Kidfest in the Park

We will have copies of the full Dodge City Days Guide in the front lobby and by the time clock as soon as they are available.
